For the first time, Illinois coach Eric Fugate went to the National 4-H competitions in Louisville, Kentucky, with two teams in 2022. Their seasoned 4-H Livestock Skillathon team came home as national champions and their first Livestock 4-H Quiz Bowl team placed fourth.
