Iowa community college ag students explore Brazil
Kirkwood Community College students spent a few days touring corn, soybean and coffee farms during their nearly two-week trip to Brazil. Soybean breeder Dr. Adriano Bruzi spoke with Kirkwood Community College students about growing soybeans in Brazil. Kirkwood Community College students also toured a corn field in Brazil. The students’ tour included the Universidade Federal de Lavras research farm and the Cocatrel coffee cooperative in Três Pontas, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Students connected with global industry professionals, faculty and Kirkwood alumni now working in Brazil.
