We started April 8 planting corn and soybeans at the same time and finished up planting Saturday (April 19)! Conditions were perfect when we started. Ground was very mellow and planted perfectly. The last two weeks we had no rainfall, but we just got 0.5 of an inch of rain today (April 20). Some of the earlier-planted corn and soybeans are starting to break through the ground. There are a handful of farmers in the area done or most of the way through their planting season.
