We ran hard all week harvesting soybeans. On Thursday, we had a breakdown on the bean head so we’re hoping to get that back in shape quickly. We’re hoping cooler weather will keep beans from drying down more than what they have. We have a few days of soybeans to do, and toward the end of the week maybe we’ll switch over to corn. Moisture on soybeans is down, so I’m happy with cooler weather today and a half-inch of rain last night. I’m seeing upper 50s to low 60s for bean yields. I’m pretty happy with those figures. I planted some cover crops last week and I’ll drill for more after harvest.
