STEVENS POINT, Wis. — The Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers Association inducted two growers into its Hall of Fame and presented a host of awards to others at the recent Potato Industry Show awards banquet in Stevens Point. The Hall of Fame honors lifetime achievement in Wisconsin’s potato industry.
Andy Diercks of Coloma, Wisconsin, is Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers Association Volunteer of the Year. He is newly elected to the Wisconsin Potato Industry Board and serves on the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection's citizen-advisory board.

Associate Division Business Person of the Year is Wayne Solinsky of Jay-Mar Inc. of Plover, Wisconsin. He receives the award from the Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers Association at its recent awards banquet in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.

The Agri-Communicator Award is presented to Louis Wysocki of Custer, Wisconsin, by the Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers Association, for public relations and work with state legislators on the high-capacity-wells issue in the Central Sands area of central Wisconsin.
