BERGER, Mo. — After some warm, dry weather in March, corn planting got off to a fairly early, fast start for Danny Kuenzel, who farms in Franklin and Gasconade counties in east-central Missouri. The clear weather lasted into April, and despite a few cold mornings here and there, planting progressed quickly.
