Heat stress is starting to show in our area as several chances of rain haven’t materialized into anything substantial for a while. So far the crop seems to be hanging in pretty decent overall. As beans work to maintain pollinated flowers, fill out pods and kernels fill out in corn, we’ll be in desperate need of a rain if we’re going to push the top end this year. Regular August moisture will be critical.
