The CME Lean Hog Index was $89.71 on August 19, down 24 cents from the previous day. “Yesterday’s low range close of December hogs may encourage selling this morning and first pullback support is 66.40. Fundamental news is limited but weekly pork export sales were poor for the 2nd week in a row down 7% from last week and down 34% from the 4 week average,” Hightower Report said “So far, the lower U.S. dollar is not translating into improved pork export demand.”
