New short interest was noted, with open interest was up 18,753 contracts.” Matthew Lucas at Total Farm Marketing said, “U.S. ethanol production fell to 296 million gallons last week, down 6 million gallons from the previous week and marking the lowest weekly output in eight months. Production was in line with market expectations, with an estimated 99 mb of corn used for ethanol.”
