Earlier in the week saw good harvest momentum, but by Wednesday rains started to roll through the area, putting a stop to all progress. Depending on where you were, the area saw an inch to an inch and a half of rain through the end of the week. I did see some combines rolling in corn on Sunday, so clearly the rains were needed to replenish the soil and combines are able to roll again without much mud on the tires. A few fields here or there have had some fall tillage work done, but that seems to be pretty hit or miss. We hope to finish up harvest by the end of this coming week.
