Harvest pace continued as several have finished up with corn and started beans that were ready. I'm reminded of past harvests with my dad who would occasionally plant some early beans to start with in the fall — an old variety, Amsoy. Anyone remember? Sometimes because of the weather, all the beans were ready at once. As they say, that’s farming, and so it goes. Many are hopeful that the beans are as good as we want them to be since corn yields were off early expectations. Rain is coming in the forecast, so we'll make hay while the sun shines.
