This week is going be really big on harvest in our area. Everybody’s finally ready to go and the crop has dried to the point where people can go anywhere they want instead of picking areas that are more mature. Our corn was running from 16.5 to 20% last week, so this week I expect 16-18%. Beans, we’re all completed with beans. Fairly happy — probably slightly above average yields for the county, for our farm, it’s average — mid- to high 60s where some of the better areas were. Corn wise, we’ve only shelled two fields on our farm, but we’re pretty darn close to a 200-bushel average and one field has fairly tough soil so we’re pleased.
