In agriculture, producers can often feel disconnected and alone in their struggles as the work is often solitary and each business works independently. Being part of an active community can help alleviate many of these emotional challenges, and that’s especially true for female ranchers, according to Amber Smith, executive director for Women in Ranching (WIR).
