The canola market has continued to bounce back from a price drop early in September when China announced an anti-dumping investigation of Canadian canola. Futures prices as of Oct. 9 were above the levels seen before the announcement. Since that time, additional data has been released showing Canadian canola exports to China of a record 718,000 metric tons (MT) in August. Total exports for the month were the largest in the last decade. Total exports through the end of September exceed 1.76 million metric tons (MMT), triple the amount seen last year at this time.
