Here in western Wisconsin we are celebrating a week with no rain. The dry spell began after we had 4 inches of rain in 18 hours with strong winds. Jimmy Ellis reported he had a trampoline in his hay field. My daughter in Illinois said a farmer in her area lost two grain bins and the owner was still hunting one of them. I saw a field of corn I had photographed earlier this summer – and that looked beautiful at that time – is now half gone from the high water.
