Looking back on 2024, most would agree that it was a see-saw sort of year. The year began with a dry brown winter. Many folks in far-northern Wisconsin who depend upon snow and ice for their winter livelihoods were hurting because trails were closed – including snowmobile trails that cross farm fields. Wildfire season in Wisconsin began early due to the dryness.
