The spouse of a good friend at the South Dakota State University Foundation is a seasoned marathon runner. To be honest, anyone who runs 26 miles without stopping is a lot more than seasoned, but “seasoned” is the only adjective that comes to mind. Regardless, he and the family joined her on her trip to participate in the Twins Cities Marathon, which is normally around the first part of October. That is the time of year when weather is most often great. No snow, not too hot, less humidity, etc. 2023? That was not the case!
