Wheat came out of dormancy early never stalled its growth. Spring planting started out dry, but early rains quickly helped corn and soybeans hit the ground running. Wheat benefitted as well, and the summer harvest was a bountiful crop to remember. Timely rains continued to help corn and soybeans flourish throughout the middle of July. Then, an extended dry period set in for the end of July and August. Fall harvest started early in September and has had a nice long run. Corn yields have turned out to be phenomenal. Soybean yields were all over the board. The majority of the ’24-’25 wheat crop was planted in the dust. Rains have now slowed the end of harvest but have pushed the new wheat crop along nicely. Overall, morale for the year has been a good one. Now, on to prepping for the next one!
