In a little over a decade, Went Show Goats has grown from two starter goats to breeding roughly 750 does per year. The goats are sold across the country, with Went Show Goats claiming many champion titles at county and state fairs, progress shows, jackpots and national shows.
The goats at Went Show Goats near Columbus, Neb., are well-protected from the harsh elements yet have access to outdoor pens for plenty of sunshine and fresh air. Boer goats originate from the desert and do not like moisture, said Judd Went.
