A cattle farmer in Mercer County reported the overnight theft of 64 13-week-old Holstein steer calves, each valued at $2,000. According to the county sheriff, the farmer noticed cattle loose in his barn and numerous head missing. Many of his gates had been moved. The stolen calves were in a large barn.
