The Hightower Report said, “Corn had a fairly tight range today and ended marginally lower. Hopes for China demand have eased and light support this morning was attributed to heavy rains forecast over eastern Nebraska, Iowa and northern Illinois into early next week. Harvest progress should improve after that with a welcome below normal precipitation outlook in the extended forecast.” Lisa Heder at Total Farm Marketing said, “The corn market could likely see some additional position squaring as September 30 brings the end of the month and quarter. Managed money holds a historically large, long corn position, which could lead to some profit taking to end the month.”
