“Basis should be the topic of bullish conversation at the dinner table this weekend if you are looking for one,” said John Payne, broker at Daniels Trading. He noted Central Illinois corn basis is about even this morning after rallying nearly 30 cents in the past two months. “Soybean basis remains wider than normal, but the bin doors slamming shut have brought basis up almost 25 cents around Decatur.”
