We had a good week harvesting soybeans. The warm temperatures and wind got the beans dried down. There were some discolored beans from all the wet weather before harvest, but nothing that I delivered got docked. Yields were consistently good across different maturity groups. Reports from other growers in the area indicate good soybean yields as well. Most soybeans in the area will be harvested by mid-week (Oct. 15). I would expect that the moisture of the corn has dried down significantly while the soybeans were harvested.
