The crops are quickly advancing towards maturity. Corn silage chopping began last week. Silage appraisals are showing good yields. Some corn fields are turning brown very fast, and ears are starting to tip down. Soybeans are changing color and starting to drop leaves. There is significant lodging in some bean fields. We received 0.5 of an inch of rain for the week.
