Crop conditions are decent around here. Cooler temperatures have been a welcomed relief after the two weeks of 100-degree weather we endured a few weeks ago. We are not out of the woods yet, as this corn crop is still wrapping up pollination and beans are anywhere from trying to fill pods to trying to set pods. We will need some more rain to finish this crop out, as we had depleted our subsoil moisture earlier in the season. Diseases are minimal at this time, but we do worry about southern rust coming in and tar spot. Both can have a huge effect on this crop.
