SPIRITWOOD, N.D. – A joint venture between ADM and Marathon Petroleum, Green Bison Soybean Processing, LLC, began accepting soybeans from North Dakota growers in October.
Completion of Spiritwood facility signals a new era for local soybean growers
Lt. Gov. Tammy Miller said the facility, North Dakota’s first dedicated soybean processing plant, would be important for the future of soybean growers in the state.
“This is truly the beginning of a new era for soybean growers in North Dakota. No longer will they need to ship nearly their entire soybean crop out of state. With this partnership between ADM and Marathon Petroleum, those soybeans will be purchased and processed right here at home in North Dakota,” Miller said.
