The oilseed market is reported to be waiting on developments in trade involving U.S. soybean exports and Canadian canola exports to China. While canola exports from Canada are important to the canola industry, the share of the crop that is consumed domestically has been increasing for quite some time. Over 60 percent of the crop is now consumed domestically, up from 35 percent in 2009, expected to exceed 12 million metric tons (MMT). Over 2.3 MMT has been consumed through Oct. 12, up from 2.2 MMT last year.
