Even though June and its Dairy Month celebrations are in the rear-view mirror, there’s still plenty of summer left to enjoy a dairy treat that’s a summertime favorite for kids and adults alike – ice cream. President Ronald Reagan in 1984 officially designated July as national Ice Cream month. He also declared the third Sunday of July as National Ice Cream Day. The indulgent treat can be enjoyed in so many ways – including smoothies, cakes, pies, malts, sundaes, cones, floats and coffee drinks, or straight from the container.
