Family farmers and ranchers will be celebrated Aug. 30, during South Dakota Farmers Union Day at the South Dakota State Fair.
Scott Kolousek is a Wessington Springs cattle producer and a Farmers Union Board member. He is among the Farmers Union members meeting with fairgoers during the South Dakota State Fair.
Joy Petersen was among the 1,000 to enjoy the Farmers Share Lunch during the 2024 State Fair. The lunch only costs 52 cents - the amount farmers receive for the ingredients they raise. 2025 Farmers Share Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. during South Dakota Farmers Union Day at the State Fair held August 30.
