The continuing high cattle market is creating some shifts in feedlots in the U.S., with more heifers being sold as feeders, as well as feedlots keeping cattle on feed for longer periods.

Constricted beef supplies in the U.S. have feedlots keeping animals on feed longer and are also seeing more heifers in the feedlot system as ranchers take advantage of high prices and aren’t holding back replacement heifers.
