The poll also found a close race between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump back on top in Wisconsin.
Poll director Charles Franklin said polls of the U.S. Senate contest may continue to fluctuate in the near term.
The poll is the first since Walker announced his presidential candidacy, but also comes as his national popularity flags.
This is the first Marquette poll conducted after Walker abruptly bowed out of the Republican presidential race last week.
