This week was a solid start to harvest for the area. We are finally in the field consistently. Wet spots are still causing trouble, but everyone is giving it a try. Our operation is 15% done. We are seeing sprouting corn on the ear as well as rotted or discolored soybeans. Yields are not like last year, perhaps down 10%, but we have yet to discover a true disaster of a field. I have reports of 5-15% damage on quality across both crops. I wish everyone a safe harvest.
