The 3- and 4-inch rain slowed things for a few days. We still worked five days last week. We jumped back in corn a little quick. The heavy rain was welcome but a little bit too much. It was needed. Most of it soaked in, believe it or not. The wheat sure needed it and any other seedings, grass and hay seedings. Three nights in a row of 25 and 27 degrees marked the end of the growing season for us here now. Some of that green stuff in the crops needed it. We’re probably 75% done with harvest. It’s warmed back up now — it’s 65 degrees now and they’re calling for another front with a chance of showers this week.
