A lot of beans were cut this past week. A midweek rain stalled combines for about half a day, but since harvest started, this was one of the better weather weeks we've had. The heat has pushed bean moisture down to around 9-10% by the afternoon, but that's just part of cutting beans anymore. The weather was so nice that I even heard of multiple people putting up some hay. With rain in the forecast this week, I'm sure many farmers will be trying to get as many beans harvested as possible before it arrives.
