We have had drought so far this year. This week we received between 4 inches to 6.5 inches of rain — too much too fast. Some local flooding. Much of the corn is tasseled and shooting ears. Soybeans seemed to jump in height. Winter wheat harvest is progressing as weather permits. The local farm stands and farmers markets are starting to put out fresh veggies.
