While many horse owners struggle with behavioral issues with their horses, it has become more common in recent years to look to medication as a solution when other options have failed. However, choosing to use medications to help ease a horse’s anxiety or fear should only be done after all the contributing factors have been considered, according to DVM Katherine Anderson of the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine.
