The oilseed markets were quite choppy during the first half of December, with canola peaking on Dec. 11 after lower production figures from Canada caused canola prices to strengthen. But eventually, concerns over tariffs, uncertainty about biofuels, and the large South American soybean crop overcame any bullish enthusiasm from the lower supply of canola and prices retreated.
