STOUGHTON, Wis. – Few businesses and even fewer people live to see 114 years of age. But the Sime family farm just outside Stoughton has. Bruce and Kim Sime received Century Farm Recognition at the 2025 Wisconsin State Fair. Their family’s farm was established in 1912 by his great-grandfather, J.A. Onsrud. Onsrud in 1943 passed the farm down to his son Lloyd Onsrud. Then Lloyd Onsrud’s daughter, Marcia, and her husband, John Sime, represented the third generation to run the farm. In 1991 their son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Kim Sime, purchased the farm. Now Bruce and Kim Sime are looking to their son and daughter-in-law, Karl and Courtney Sime, to take the helm.
