Farmer sentiment improved in March; the Purdue University-CME Group Ag Economy Barometer Index increased from 116 points in February to 127. The Current Conditions Index increased by 6 points, while the Future Expectations Index increased by 14 points. The Future Expectations Index this month was still 12 points less than the December 2025 index, and 16 points less than the March 2025 index. The percentage of respondents who cited inflated input costs as their biggest concern increased from 44 percent to 46 percent this month.
