There’s a new kind of farm going up north of Canton, in southeastern South Dakota.
SAB Biotheraputics CEO and founder Eddie Sullivan shares a joke with Gov. Dennis Daugaard during a groundbreaking event at the company's new farm near Canton, S.D., Oct. 5. A rendering of the first-of-its-kind biopharmaceutical production farm is shown at full build-out. The SAB facility north of Canton, S.D., will house approximately 400 animals and employ 40 people capable of producing millions of doses of human antibody therapeutics.
