Beef cow and calf in mud — A cow-calf pair deals with the muddy season at Toberman Farms near Footville, Wisconsin. Cattle at Toberman Farms are kept close to be able to more easily keep an eye on them. Attendees at this year's Wisconsin Cattlemen's Association Winter Conference will be given an update on wolf predation in the state and how producers can protect their livestock. Other legislative issues to be discussed include high capacity wells and the current state of NR 151.

Overall, calving season this year has been going very well. We have had good weather, less mud and fewer sick calves than we have in the past few years.
