Farmers across the U.S. who’ve adapted their methods to promote healthier soils, healthier foods and healthier humans are finding validation from a group of South Dakota scientists.

Ramstead Ranch is located in the Selkirk Mountains of northeastern Washington.
Last year’s growth of native grasses starts to green up in southeastern South Dakota. Dawn and Matt Butzer seeded the former crop land to native species last year. They will eventually graze cattle there.
