As September turns into October, harvest season is now well underway across our area. Combines are rolling for wet corn and earlage for cattle feed, as well as in the soybean fields. Overall, the work has been going smoothly. The weather has been cooperative for getting crops out of the fields, but yield results are painting a mixed picture, depending where you look.
