Housing has become a noteworthy issue throughout the country, but it has unique elements in states like Montana where much of the state is still sparsely populated. In Montana, the lack of housing in general, but specifically the lack of affordable housing, is creating issues.
Rural Frontier Housing Learning Lab assesses Montana challenges
Montana, like many parts of the U.S., is facing a housing shortage, but communities can do much of the work to address the issue by working collaboratively without having to hire outside help, according to the Rural Frontier Housing Learning Lab.
