TOWNSEND, Mont. – In the shadow of Mount Baldy here in Montana’s Big Belt Mountains, another generation is preparing to take over the ranch their parents started from scratch nearly 25 years ago. Jane’a Ehlke, her husband, Kason Fitzpatrick, and sister, Lacey Jo Ehlke, have moved back to Mark and Della Ehlke’s registered Hereford operation with an eye on one day taking over.
