It has been very nice with these fall-like temperatures. It has been a little dry the last couple weeks, but that has allowed for some nice corn dry-down days on the mature corn. Several people have started picking corn in the area. With what I’ve heard and experienced, the moisture is a lot drier than expected — a lot of corn getting down in the 16-17% range. The yields have been good so far — maybe a little better than expected in some areas. The beans are coming along fast. Several fields are dropping leaves and will be ready to cut soon.
