McCool Junction FFA builds momentum through leadership, learning and community

Several members of McCool Junction FFA Chapter attended Husker Harvest Days in September. They had a chance to learn about new technology in agriculture and do a scavenger hunt, learning about the variety of careers available in agriculture.
Agronomist and apple enthusiast Bill Dunavan invites McCool Junction agriculture students to his apple orchard north of town each fall to learn more about grafting, growing, storing and caring for a large variety of apples. A highlight for the students is trying several varieties and picking some to bring back for the school lunch program and to make apple desserts to enjoy. Â
