“As expected, cattle prices opened strong on the macro market tailwinds, but live cattle could not extend the gains very far and closed near unchanged, while feeders finished modestly higher,” The Hightower Report said. “The heavily overbought conditions likely is limiting aggressive buying in cattle at elevated price levels. Feeder auctions this week have been mostly steady to higher. The cattle trend remains strong, but a downside correction is overdue.”
