A lot of anhydrous and pit manure went into the ground this past week. I spent time winterizing sprayers with antifreeze and getting heaters started in three buildings where we don’t want it to freeze. Also cleaned off the garden and mowed yards for the last time before cleaning and putting away the lawn mower. We received about 0.4 of an inch of rain Saturday and had snow flurries Sunday. We’re still behind on soil moisture. Our farm has received 3.11 inches of rain since July 30. Overall, we had good yields, but not great. Southern rust hurt us pretty bad on corn. Now, we need better prices.
