Is our nice, dry fall over? We have been pretty fortunate weather-wise for the last several weeks, getting some rain to keep fire hazards low. The last rain we had a couple weeks ago we had almost 3 inches, and we just had another 2-3 inches of rain this past weekend. It’s pretty wet now, but hopefully it settles up quickly as we have more chances next weekend, they say. We still have a few acres of beans left to cut if they ever get ready. So many patches of green beans that just don’t mature. I think the dry weather messed them up. What little corn we have shelled seems to be pretty decent if we can get it to dry down.
